The window

‘The window’ is third short film from Dark Heart Production. I think this movie tried to talk about before die as a new perception. The director is a 23 years young guy. ‘The window’ is talking about a young man (Joy) who was accident with his mother on a street but he didn’t know what happened to him. But he knew his situation the following.

Joy woke up surprisingly and checked time. It was 10: 13 in the morning. He had a medicine after breakfast. He looked very tired. When he went out of home, nobody was on a street. When he entered a restaurant there were many friends and welcomed him. He confused at everything. Further more his father who dead a few years ago was waiting him. The father told him what happened to him. This is unusual story and makes me think about life and die. Also I was impressed movie’s idea. The movie began Joy woke up at 10:13. But the end of movie's time was 10:13. This movie leads many thoughts. I recommend watching this movie. It’s very interesting.

Driver’s License

I have been driving for 20 years. When I came here I didn’t mind getting a driver’s license. Because I had already my international driver’s license from my hometown. But I was aware that a driver’s license signified identities of people here. I felt uncomfortable without a driver’s license so I decided to take a driving test. My husband told me that US’s driving test was easy and I shouldn’t take a driving class. He gave me tips and I checked on the Internet. But I failed twice driving tests. I took a class and then I got a driver’s license. I knew that the US’s driving test was different at Korea’s driving test and rules.

Here are some different from Korean traffic rules. First, Korea doesn’t have STOP sign. It was very unfamiliar rule to me. But it was easy to stop when I saw STOP signs. More important thing at a test was full stop and traffic check by turning your head. Before I took a driving lesson, I stopped at STOP signs very slightly and just looked at front. Second, if I change the lane or turn right, I should check traffic more carefully and frequently. When I change lanes or turn, I just moved my eyes and checked with a rear view mirror. When I moved my head for looking right, my hands couldn’t fix on a handle. It was weird. In addition, if I pass an alley on the street, I should check that alley’s traffic situation. But I didn’t know that before I took a lesson. Last, I turned left on red light in Korea. But here we turn left on green light. I was surprised at different of rules. And I knew why I failed tests twice. After practiced driving, I got a license.

My driving history is clean yet. Because I always remind the traffic rules. If I have chances to recommend about a driving test to friends, I tell them that they have to take a class for a driving test.

About me

I’d like to introduce myself briefly. I am a web designer and as a mother for three children. I have been here since 2007. After I came here, my family and I changed everything in our life such as thinking, life style, dream, goal, and so on.

I am good at design with computer as a web designer. I also used to teach web design to students before I came here. Korea is one of the most advanced Information Technology (IT) countries. Almost every people have a computer per person, and they can purchase something, search information, chat, send email, and pay their bills on the Internet. So many people are interested in computer and Internet. I am one of them. After I came here, I made three websites for company and university’s websites. USA web design is more diversity and focus on information based website. So I enjoy working here.

I’m three children’s mother. My first daughter is in10th grade and son is in 9th grade in high school. My youngest daughter is in 4th grade. They are happy to go to school here. Especially, my first daughter is a good student at school. When she came here, she didn’t know how to speak English well. She is studying SAT, AP classes now. It’s amazing, and I’m jealous her. Son had grew up fast since we came here. He is over six feet. I thank God that he is a good and smart student. My youngest daughter is improving English faster than other family members. Her pronunciation and speaking English is so clear and cute.

It’s not easy to work as a three children’s mother. I have to study for good communication with English native speaker and clients. Further more, I need to improve myself for leading sense of lastest trend. The most important thing is my children are treasure and hope for my husband and me. They are doing their best, encouraging, and giving me energy. I’m happy through my family, and I imagine my family’s future would be more wonderful after 5 or 10 years.

Korean BBQ

I’d liked to introduce ‘Korean BBQ’. ‘Korean BBQ’ is not only one of the most famous Korean foods but also my favorite food. Party menus almost include Korean BBQ at home or restaurants in Korea. Korean BBQ has many kinds of cooking styles. I’ll introduce you ‘LA Korean BBQ’. This style’s meat is very hard to buy at market here such as Vons, Costco. You can buy this meat at Korean markets or Chinese markets. The LA Korean BBQ’s ingredients and cooking methods are following next.

Ingredients:
1pack at store LA Korean BBQ meat
one onion
5 pieces of garlic
50ml wine
20g sugar or starch syrup
one teaspoon of pepper powder
75ml soy sauce
one kiwi or a half pear
5 mushroom

First, remove fat from meat. (Some people like to eat fat. It is up to your taste.) Then make a sauce. If you don’t like to chew sauces, put onion, garlic, kiwi in the mixer, and blend. If you want to chew sauce's texture, chop and slice onion, garlic and kiwi. After that, put wine, sugar, soy sauce, pepper in blended onion and garlic sauce. Next, pour the sauce on the meat and mushroom in the bowl. And then, put in a refrigerator for 4 hours. That’s why it takes time for absorbing sauce into meat. Last, grill the meat or broil on the skillet or oven. Try to cook and enjoy eating.
